1. Zero tolerance for spam
Conerix maintains a zero-tolerance policy for spam. Any user found to be sending unsolicited messages will face immediate account termination without refund.
Prohibited content
The following content is strictly prohibited:
- Unsolicited commercial messages (spam)
- Phishing or fraudulent messages
- Messages containing malware links
- Adult or explicit content
- Illegal gambling promotions
- Drug or controlled substance advertisements
- Hate speech or discriminatory content
- Impersonation of government or financial institutions
- Deceptive or misleading content
2. Consent requirements
All SMS messages must be sent only to recipients who have provided explicit consent to receive communications from you.
Valid consent includes
- Written opt-in through web forms with clear disclosure
- Double opt-in confirmation (recommended)
- Verbal consent (documented and recorded)
- Existing business relationship with prior communication
Invalid consent includes
- Pre-checked opt-in boxes
- Purchased or rented contact lists
- Scraped phone numbers from websites
- Consent buried in unrelated terms
- Opt-out only options (recipients must opt-in)
3. Message requirements
Required message elements
- Sender identification — clearly identify your business name.
- Opt-out instructions — include clear instructions (e.g. "Reply STOP to unsubscribe").
- Contact information — provide a way for recipients to reach you.
- Accurate content — all claims must be truthful and verifiable.
4. Volume and frequency
Respect your recipients by following reasonable messaging practices:
- Do not send more than one message per day to the same recipient (unless transactional).
- Respect time zones and avoid sending during inappropriate hours.
- Honor all opt-out requests within 24 hours.
- Maintain accurate suppression lists.
5. Compliance with laws
Users must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
- TCPA — Telephone Consumer Protection Act, USA
- GDPR — General Data Protection Regulation, EU
- CASL — Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation
- Privacy Act — Australia
- Local telecommunications regulations in recipient countries
6. Monitoring and enforcement
Conerix actively monitors message content and patterns to detect potential spam:
- Automated content analysis
- Complaint tracking and investigation
- Pattern recognition for suspicious activity
- Manual review of flagged accounts
Consequences of violations
Violations of this policy will result in:
- First offense — warning and temporary suspension.
- Second offense — account suspension (7–30 days).
- Third offense — permanent account termination.
- Severe violations — immediate termination without warning.
Note: No refunds are provided for accounts terminated due to spam violations.
7. Reporting spam
If you receive spam from a Conerix-routed sender, please report it immediately:
- Email: abuse@conerix.com
- Include: phone number that received the message, message content, date/time
We investigate all spam reports within one business day.
8. Your responsibilities
By using Conerix, you agree to:
- Obtain proper consent before sending any messages
- Maintain accurate records of consent
- Honor all opt-out requests promptly
- Keep your contact lists clean and up-to-date
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Take responsibility for all messages sent through your account
